Come stay at Key Lime Sailing Club and Cottages! Our cottages have lots of history, maintaining an old vibe from when the place was a 1950’s fishing camp. The Owner’s Cottage, in particular, was built with pink bricks that were hand made on site.
Despite having the modern comforts and amenities, like flat screen TVs, WIFI, cable, etc., you can still feel traces of living in the old Florida Keys. Features like the Captain’s and Sailfish cottages’ outside showers, as well as eclectic furniture, old books, plus other antiques and pirate-themed memorabilia in the Main House and throughout the property.
We are set up to be a place that’s as laid back and relaxing as possible, where you can take things slow, kick your shoes off, put your toes in the sand, and enjoy our natural beauty, island atmosphere, and amazing sunsets.
When you rent one of our cottages, you have the use of our kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, snorkel gear, fishing gear, and bicycles. For our experienced sailing guests, you have the use of a 22’ Catalina, assigned to you for the duration of your stay. All these amenities are for your enjoyment from sun up to sun down!
For those who wish to learn to sail to be able to take advantage of the free sailboat, need a refresher, or would like to advance their sailing skills, we offer American Sailing Association sailing courses.
There will be lots of things to enjoy while staying with us as we have the whole bay as our backyard! You can kayak, paddle board, or swim around our docks or to nearby bayside restaurants/bars. You can sail to the islands and kayak thru the mangroves where you may enjoy the possible sightings of manatees and other tropical wildlife.
But wait (LOL), there’s more! As our guests, you will receive discounts on our bayside and oceanside sunset sails, snorkel trips, and eco-tours. Sail oceanside aboard Key Largo’s only pirate ship, the Pirate’s Choice, a 50’ gaff rigged schooner with underwater viewing ports.and see the beautiful, uncrowded coral reefs; the third largest coral reef in the world. Or, sail on our 47’ Jeanneau Lagoon catamaran on the calm bayside waters, then kayak into the mangrove jungle and find the hidden lake where you can enjoy a great lunch/drink break tucked away in this truly remarkable natural environment.
